Overview
Vijf jaar na hun vertrek naar de planeet Antaria bezoeken de 'jeugdige oudjes' Ben, Mary, Art, Bess, Joe en Alma hun familie en vrienden op aarde. Enkele Antarianen vergezellen hen. Zij hebben de opdracht om een aantal 'cocoons', waarin zich leden van een Antariaanse expeditie bevinden die jaren geleden op aarde moesten worden achtergelaten, uit de zee te bergen. Ben en Mary zoeken hun kleinzoon David op. Het kind kan de scheiding van zijn ouders niet verwerken. Bernie Lefkowitz, een bejaarde goede vriend van onze 'vitale oudjes' wil zelfmoord plegen, maar hij wordt door zijn kameraden 'gestoord'.
