Overview
Paul Carpenter se convierte de la noche a la mañana en el nuevo becario de la misteriosa empresa J.W. Wells & Co, compartiendo mesa con la brillante Sophie. Rápidamente, ambos se dan cuenta que su nuevo trabajo es cualquier cosa menos convencional. Mientras Sophie es ascendida al Departamento de Casualidades, el director general de la empresa, Humphrey Wells, persuade al joven Paul para que busque el objeto más poderoso y codiciado del mundo: la puerta mágica. Esa oscura y peligrosa misión llevará a Paul a adentrarse en un sinfín de lugares increíbles: desde las profundidades de un sótano infestado de duendes hasta las alturas del Himalaya. Será en esa búsqueda que Paul se convertirá en un héroe inesperado y deberá salvar al mundo del plan más maléfico y diabólico que jamás haya amenazado la raza humana.
