Passionné de hockey depuis toujours, le jeune Jean-Philippe Tanguay ne rêve que d’une chose : devenir agent de joueurs. Il idolâtre son cousin Yves Tanguay, ancien joueur de la LNH, évoluant maintenant au sein de l’équipe de hockey amateur des Barbares de La Malbaie. Lorsque l’équipe accède au championnat canadien, Yves convainc alors son jeune cousin de l’accompagner jusqu’à Thunder Bay pour assister au championnat. Les deux cousins y voient une occasion unique pour leurs carrières et vont embarquer dans un road trip qui les mènera à découvrir le prix à payer pour réaliser ses rêves.
