Overview
Vor Jahren hat Eva ihren Job als Reisejournalistin aufgegeben, um mit ihrem Mann Franklin eine Familie zu gründen. Doch Wunschkind Kevin ist alles andere als einfach, bereits als Baby verzweifelt Eva fast an ihm. Je älter er wird, desto schwieriger wird die Beziehung zwischen Mutter und Sohn. Vater Franklin verdrängt die Probleme und scheint für alles eine Erklärung zu haben. Als ihr zweites Kind, Tochter Celia, heranwächst, wird die Kluft zwischen Sohn und Mutter deutlicher. Kevin mangelt es an Empathie, das Leid anderer übt eine große Faszination für ihn aus. Wirklich Freude bereitet Kevin nur das Bogenschießen, eine Disziplin, in der er bald zum Meister avanciert. Keiner ahnt, dass die Familie in eine große Katastrophe schlittert.
