Overview
Seit dem Tod ihrer Mutter hat die sechsjährige Holly kein Wort mehr gesprochen. Monate ist das nun her. Als ihr die Grundschulleitung Antidepressiva verpassen will, zieht ihr Vormund Mark (Sean Faris) die Reißleine: Die beiden ziehen weg. In einer Kleinstadt will Mark mit der Kleinen erstmal bei seinen Brüdern unterkommen. Unterwegs auf der Fähre treffen sie Maggie (Eloise Mumford), eine charmante Frau, die kurz vor der Eröffnung ihres eigenen Spielzeugladens steht. Überdies ist sie kinderlieb, kümmert sich um den drolligen Bassett ihrer Schwester - und ist "Riverdance"-Fan.
