Overview
Sergeant-majoor Eismayer, de meest gevreesde trainingsofficier in het Oostenrijkse leger, heeft een geheim dat hij zorgvuldig verbergt: hij is homoseksueel. Wanneer hij verliefd wordt op een rekruut, wordt zijn heteronormatieve bestaan op zijn kop gegooid. Voor een man als Eismayer kan een homoseksuele relatie niet worden verzoend met het traditionele begrip van wat een soldaat zou moeten zijn.
