Overview
Narra la vida de Catherine Chandler, una detective de homicidios que cuando era niña sobrevivió a un asalto en el que murió su madre gracias a que alguien (o algo) le salvó la vida. Catherine piensa que ese 'algo' era humano y no es hasta años después, cuando conoce al doctor Vincent Keller, cuando descubre la verdad. El doctor, en realidad, se transforma en una bestia cuando se enfurece. Es entonces cuando Catherine comienza una relación complicada con Vincent que pone en peligro sus propias vidas.
