Pewnego dnia siedemdziesięcioletni Jan (Johan Leysen) oświadcza swojej córce Iris (Julia Akkermans), że ma już dość swojego życia i chce umrzeć. Niczego niespodziewająca się kobieta nie wie, jak ma zareagować. Ta sytuacja wymyka jej się spod kontroli. Początkowo próbuje ona zrozumieć decyzję ojca, ale kiedy pojmuje, że żadna odpowiedź nie będzie satysfakcjonująca, postanawia mu pomóc.
