Overview
Der ängstliche Ex-Soldat Boysie Oakes wird durch einen Irrtum vom britischen Geheimdienst als Auftragsmörder engagiert, heuert jedoch seinerseits heimlich einen freiberuflichen Killer an, der ihm die Arbeit abnehmen soll. Oakes fährt stattdessen mit seiner Angebeteten Iris an die Côte d’Azur, wo beide von sowjetischen Agenten gefangengenommen werden, die ein Attentat auf den Herzog von Edinburgh planen. Wird der hasenfüßige Agent wider Willen das Schlimmste verhindern können?
